- I should have been more specific. I recently acquired a 25Mhz
- GVP G_FORCE 030 accelerator. It is presently populated with a 25Mhz
- 68EC030 and a 25Mhz 68882. I was hoping to get a 40Mhz or 50Mhz
- accelerator but the deal was too good to pass up.
-
- At the very least I'd like to replace the 68EC030 with a full 68030.
- But I'd prefer to increase the clock speed at the same time, if the
- board and other components can handle the higher speed. Since GVP
- has a 40Mhz and 50Mhz version of this board that seem to be identical
- in design, I was wondering if anyone knew if the board and other
- soldered on components (disregarding the memory - 1Meg/4Meg) of the
- three versions of the boards where the same.
-
- Or in other words, will the 25Mhz 1meg version of the GVP G_FORCE 030
- work if I replace the 68030 and 68882 with 40Mhz or 50Mhz 68030 and 68882
- and replace the oscillator with one of the appropriate speed (40/50Mhz).
-
- Has anyone tried this?
